Most patients need to develop new habits and stop doing things that are not helpful. Dr Gayetri and her team will support you through this transitional period and help to keep you on track if you have an off day or a setback.

Testing and Coaching

As a science-based practitioner, Dr Gayetri may order one or more lab tests, the results of which are used to clinically inform the course of action she prescribes for you.

As well as benefitting from Dr Gayetri’s expert medical advice, you will work with one of our Health Coaches who will help you learn how to embed a new set of healthy habits into your daily routine.

Dr Kerry Aston

Associate Functional Medicine Doctor

I am a medical doctor specialising in rheumatology with over 15 years of experience in the NHS. I have also expanded my expertise in sports and exercise medicine and received additional training from the Institute of Functional Medicine.

I believe that our daily choices, including lifestyle habits, emotional well-being, and environmental factors, greatly impact our health. Unfortunately, the current healthcare system often focuses on treating symptoms rather than addressing the root causes of chronic diseases, leaving many people without the proper support that they need.

As an advocate for functional medicine, I emphasise the importance of lifestyle changes in preventing and reversing chronic diseases. Whether you’re an athlete looking to overcome performance barriers or someone striving for better health, I’m here to identify the reasons for your health challenges and provide personalised solutions to help you thrive.

My approach is rooted in functional and integrative medicine, combining evidence-based practices with a deep understanding of individual needs. I’m dedicated to helping you to take control of your well-being and reach your potential.

I am an experienced General Practitioner and have worked in the NHS for 16 years. I have a holistic approach to healthcare and place immense value on treating patients as individuals, recognizing the unique circumstances and needs of each person.

In 2018, driven by a passion for deeper, more comprehensive patient care, I began studying Functional Medicine. This advanced approach allows me to work collaboratively with patients to identify the root causes of their health concerns. By fostering therapeutic partnerships, I empower my patients to find sustainable solutions and achieve optimal health outcomes.

Throughout my career, I have observed the significant impact of lifestyle, relationships, and stress on overall wellbeing. My practice is dedicated to supporting patients in making meaningful, sustainable changes that enhance their quality of life.

I believe in the power of a patient-centred approach, where the focus is on improving not just physical health, but life satisfaction.

I qualified as a Nutritional Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in March 2020. I have always loved cooking and found the connection between nutrition, exercise and health fascinating.

Having been diagnosed with coeliac disease nearly ten years ago, I understand deeply the challenges that go with a sudden diagnosis and the life-changing difference our diet can make.

As a Health Coach, it is a huge privilege to guide my clients and be their ally in their quest to move forward with various health challenges. Through active listening, asking powerful questions, personal goal setting, identifying their motivation, co-setting realistic action steps, holding my clients accountable and encouraging them when things may get tough, they successfully achieve things they did not believe possible.

I feel very fortunate to have found such a fulfilling and rewarding career and I look forward to working with you.

I have been working with Dr Gayetri from the onset, and am the “go to” person for all patient enquiries, appointments and arranging tests.
With over 20 years experience in customer / patient care, I am happy to offer support and guidance with patients throughout their health journey.
I love the outdoors, camping with my family and dogs and have recently taken up Yoga to enhance my own health journey.

As a health and nutrition coach, I’m passionate about guiding others toward balanced and vibrant well-being. I believe that health is deeply personal, and I take a holistic, individualized approach to support each person on their unique journey.

My own struggles with chronic fatigue taught me that healing goes beyond treating symptoms. Through my discovery of Functional Medicine, I found science-backed solutions that align with my belief in the body’s natural ability to heal when given the right support.

Outside of my work, I love practicing yoga, which helps me stay centered and grounded. I also have a deep passion for cooking nutritious meals, as I believe food is one of the most powerful tools we have for supporting our health. Living in London, I escape to nature whenever possible, exploring the woods, discovering hidden gems along the UK’s coastline, and reconnecting with the natural world.

Dr Martins-Mourao

Dr Martins-Mourao is a clinical neuropsychophysiologist with a doctorate in developmental psychology from University College London. He is a Chartered Member of the clinical division of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and an academic researcher who has lectured in psychophysiology and mental health at the Open University, where he also founded the QEEG & Brain Research Lab, dedicated to research into anxiety disorders and the identification of neuromarkers for OCD and PTSD. He is currently collaborating with Professor Juri Kropotov (see below) in neuromarker research projects at the Laboratory for Neurobiology of Action programming at the Institute of the Human Brain (Russian Academy of Sciences). Dr Martins-Mourao uses an innovative pedagogical design to deliver training workshops in QEEG brain mapping to psychiatrists, neurologists, psychologists, and other mental health specialists in the UK, Europe, and beyond. He is an Associate Fellow of the BPS, a Fellow of the UK’s Higher Education Academy, and a member of the British Neuroscience Association and the Society for Applied Neuroscience. He also sits on the board of directors of the Foundation for Neuromodulation and Neurofeedback Research in the USA and is co-author of the book Alpha-Theta Neurofeedback in the 21st Century: A Handbook for Clinicians and Researchers. His other interests include theology, comparative religion, screenwriting, and sailing.

David Behrens (Mindfulness and Stress Management Expert)

David brings a wealth of expertise from nearly 30 years as a teaching monk at an international retreat site and school of yoga in India, where, in addition to years of personal meditation & mindfulness practice, he taught meditation retreats and studied eastern and yogic philosophies, ayurvedic medicine and nutrition.

For the last 12 years he is offering group and personalized Mindfulness based programs for clients of doctors, psychologists, and psychotherapists in leading clinics in London and the NHS in Gloucestershire.

These programs encompass:
